Mark R. Matney

Mark R. Matney is a traffic defense lawyer who regularly represents clients charged with DUI and reckless driving.  He is a member of the National College for DUI Defense and has participated in their last three annual training conferences.  He attained a Certificate of Competency in the Basic Science of Evidential Breath Alcohol Testing by completing training with one of the leading breath machine manufacturers.  Mr. Matney is also a member of the Virginia State Bar and the Virginia Trial Lawyer Association.

Mr. Matney graduated from William and Mary’s Marshall Wythe School of Law in 1992.  He completed his B.A. in international studies at The American University in 1989 and accomplished his M.Div. degree in 2005 by graduating summa cum laude from Evangel Theological Seminary.

Mr. Matney is also active in our community.  Since 2008, he has donated over 350 hours of legal services through The Alliance Defense Fund.
