Jeff C. Martin

Attorney Jeff Martin graduated from William & Mary School of Law with honors in the top 14% of his class. While at law school, Mr. Martin earned the Gambrell Professional Award for his achievements in written and oral advocacy and was one of eleven students recognized for their excellence in research, analysis, writing and trial practice for all four semesters. Because of his hard work and dedication, he was awarded the Perkins Trust Scholarship as well as the CALI Award for working with the PELE Special Education Advocacy Clinic.

Mr. Martin has completed the necessary requirements to become a Mediator and is waiting for his Mediator certification from the Supreme Court of Virginia.

Mr. Martin was an active researcher for and contributor to Attorney Michael C. Tillotson’s book Virginia DUI Law: Understanding the Scientific, Medical, Technological, and Legal Aspects of a DUI Case, published by West. Mr. Martin’s quality of work is showcased in Chapter One, which reviews the history of DUI laws in Virginia. Mr. Martin began his higher education at Towson University, where he graduated summa cum laude with a degree in biology. As an undergraduate, Mr. Martin challenged himself by taking advance courses in physiology and chemistry, winning several awards and scholarships in the process. He gained valuable experience by working in the university’s physiology lab and participating in original research. Mr. Martin also worked as a trauma tech at the University of Maryland Critical Care and Intensive Care Units. This medical and scientific knowledge helps him today in the courtroom.

In order to sharpen his advocacy skills, Mr. Martin led two successful churches in Wisconsin and Appalachia in the years between college and law school.
